**Position Summary:**
The Retail Channel Manager develops and executes strategies, programs, and initiatives that drive growth, increase market penetration, and strengthen Oatey's presence within the retail channel. This position partners closely with Sales, Product Management, and cross-functional teams to deliver merchandising, marketing, and customer experience solutions that meet customer needs and support company objectives. This position reports to the
Director, Retail Business Strategy.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Develop customer-specific retail channel marketing plans and strategies that support account goals and company objectives for assigned key retail and buying group partnerships.
+ Lead and coordinate buying group conferences, including compiling category sales and unit data, building customer-specific sales presentations, and supporting customer-facing meetings.
+ Manage retail marketing communications, including HubSpot emails, product spotlights, product launch communications, excess and obsolete listing updates, rep communications, and customer/product support materials.
+ Build and maintain effective relationships with customer marketing counterparts, merchants, rep networks, and internal partners to implement marketing plans that meet customer and Oatey needs.
+ Collaborate with the Sales team to support sales and profitability plans, respond to day-to-day product and order status inquiries, and fulfill marketing material and product asset requests.
+ Lead line review and business review processes from kickoff through execution, including data analysis, competitive benchmarking, assortment recommendations, master file management, and customer presentation development.
+ Develop customer-facing presentations and selling stories using data, insights, and business recommendations that account for both customer and Oatey objectives.
+ Manage product change initiatives, including artwork, packaging updates, sample procurement, and related cross-functional project coordination.
+ Develop and execute in-store merchandising programs, including signage, displays, packaging, promotions, and planogram development using relevant software and category insights.
+ Lead retail project meetings and maintain project tracking tools to support cross-functional alignment and timely execution.
+ Pull and analyze point-of-sale, shipment, and performance data from SAP, Power BI, Vizion, customer systems, and related tools to develop insights and strategic recommendations.
+ Plan and support tradeshows and customer events, including product displays, sample management, merchandising materials, shipping logistics, and asset tracking.
+ Develop planograms based on customer requirements and category insights, including product measuring, packaged image photography, physical setup, and validation as needed.
+ Serve as an advocate for retail customers in cross-functional corporate initiatives and share knowledge and best practices with internal partners.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in retail channel marketing, category management, the home improvement industry, or a related field.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
+ Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
+ Basic commercial understanding of retail dynamics, pricing, assortments, merchandising, and customer programs.
+ Intermediate knowledge of developing or executing channel strategies, customer presentations, and business recommendations using data and insights.
+ Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Intermediate proficiency with SAP, Power BI, Wrike or similar project management software, and planogram software such as Spaceman or equivalent.
+ Basic to intermediate proficiency with product information management systems such
