Job Description Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Technology Leader - Investment Technology with our client in Boston, MA. Our client is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Technology Leader in Investment Technology. This is an experienced hands-on Senior Technology Leader to join our Asset Management - Investment Technology team in Boston. This role combines technical leadership with active software engineering, requiring you to remain hands-on in architecture and development while leading a distributed team and shaping the technology strategy for our core investment platforms. You will drive the modernization of cloud-native investment platforms, partnering with stakeholders across Investments, Operations, Product, and Technology to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions supporting Portfolio Management and Trading. Experience with ETFs and multi-asset platforms is advantageous. Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy + Define and execute technology strategy aligned with business objectives. + Lead transformation initiatives focused on cloud-native architecture, automation, and engineering excellence. Engineering & Architecture + Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and APIs. + Build modern web applications using React or Angular. + Manage AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines (CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, etc.). + Drive automation and engineering best practices to improve delivery and operational efficiency. Delivery & Operations + Own production environments, release governance, and application reliability. + Partner with business and product teams to translate investment requirements into technical solutions. Stakeholder & Vendor Management + Collaborate with global business and technology stakeholders. + Manage relationships with strategic technology vendors such as BlackRock Aladdin and Snowflake. Leadership + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global engineering team. + Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Required Experience + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. + 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior technical leadership role. + Strong full-stack development experience with JavaScript (React/Angular), Node.js, Java, .NET or Python, and SQL. + Hands-on AWS experience, including serverless and cloud-native services. + Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation). + Strong API design, testing (Jest, Cypress, Selenium), and system integration experience. + Proven ability to lead distributed teams while remaining hands-on in architecture and development. Preferred + Experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management. + Knowledge of OMS, PMS, trading platforms, risk systems, and ETF workflows. + Experience with Snowflake, Python, event-driven arch
