As a Facilities Systems Engineer, you will connect design, operations, and strategy to optimize entire building lifecycles-not just individual components.
This full-time, onsite role based at Haven Court (Palo Alto) partners across engineering disciplines to assess facility conditions, lead root cause investigations, and guide system performance from design through operations. You'll spend time both analyzing data and engaging in the field, balancing technical depth with enterprise-wide impact, without direct people management responsibilities. Success in this role looks like leading assessments, influencing cross-functional decisions, and ensuring systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory expectations. Key qualifications include:

**A Brief Overview**
Provides technical facilities support, including analyzing engineering-design concepts and installation specifications. Works with SHC Project Engineering groups to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified equipment, processes, utilities, facilities controls and safety/security systems. Responsible for an Asset Management plan to monitor assets including buildings and equipment: applies value analysis to repair/replace/redesign and make/buy decisions for Capex and Opex decisions; adheres to the LifeCycle Asset Management process.

**What you will do**
+ Analyzes preliminary engineering-design concepts of major projects. Uses knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies to analyze preliminary plans and develop reliability engineering program to achieve reliability objectives. Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risksthat could adversely impact plant operation.
+ Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
+ Participates in the final check out and commissioning of new equipment installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
