Robert Half has been engaged by a rapidly-growing, mid-sized manufacturing company poised to double in size over the next few years. They are looking to add a talented Sr. Data Engineer to their team based in the Minneapolis, MN area. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a primarily remote work environment, but candidates must be local to the Twin Cities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex ETL pipelines for transforming and loading data into our data warehouse

• Work with various data sources including relational databases, flat files, and web APIs

• Utilize your experience with Azure and data warehouse technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark

• Partner with Business Systems Analysts to create working dashboards within our ERP

• Ensure exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are utilized in all aspects of work

• Uphold a solid understanding of software development life cycle models

• Apply expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in ETL technologies & methodologies

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure with at least 3+ years of hands on experience as a Data Engineer

• Experience with Oracle database technology

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and structures

• Familiarity with data modeling and schema design

• Strong understanding of database management and data architecture

• Knowledge of various data visualization tools and techniques.
