We are in the process of searching for a HR Compliance Analyst who will be based in Collierville, Tennessee. This role is centrally positioned within our client's Human Resources department and will be responsible for overseeing the compliance of our HR functions and operations. The HR Compliance Analyst will also be tasked with conducting audits and analysis to ensure the compliance of our third-party vendors, payroll tax activities, and HR functions.
Responsibilities:
• Consultation with all facets of Human Resources on third-party vendors.
• Regular monitoring, ensuring timely and accurate processes of third-party payroll administrator tax data.
• Reviewing and staying updated with current federal and state payroll tax regulations for all locations of operations.
• Conducting audits and collaborating with state and local entities to register, close, and research tax issues.
• Ensuring compliance with varying state regulations and timely reporting by managing State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) taxes, Social Security, federal tax, and state tax for each state of operations.
• Collaborating with third-party vendors and municipalities to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee payroll taxes in compliance with federal and state law.
• Resolving tax-related inquiries from employees, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Assisting with workers’ compensation calculations and the applicable audits.
• Preparing monthly status reports and providing supporting documentation for tracking and executing other tasks as needed.
• Developing and maintaining procedures that help to minimize errors and streamline processes.
• Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HR Compliance Analyst role.
