Job Title: Senior Benefits Consultant

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert consulting services to clients on the design and management of comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
Lead the development of benefits strategies that align with clients’ business objectives, budget constraints, and competitive positioning.
Conduct thorough market analysis and benchmarking to recommend optimal benefits solutions for clients.
Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, issues, and strategy discussions.
Oversee the implementation of new benefits programs, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Ensure that all client benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and ERISA.
Provide guidance and training to clients on best practices for benefits administration, communication, and employee engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and HR, to deliver comprehensive benefits solutions.
Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends, and present findings and recommendations to clients for continuous improvement.
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in benefits programs to provide forward-thinking advice to clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in benefits consulting, with a strong background in benefits strategy, design, and management.
Deep knowledge of employee benefits programs, market trends, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver tailored benefits solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in benefits management software and tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
CEBS, PHR/SPHR, or other relevant certification.
Experience working with mid-to-large-sized organizations across various industries.
Previous experience in a consulting firm or benefits brokerage.
