Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to join our client's executive management team. The Director of Finance will play a key role in driving financial strategy and ensuring the long-term financial health and sustainability of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, strategic growth, and planning. This role will report to the President of the Company.
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term goals.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead financial planning and analysis efforts to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Lead financial analysis and decision support to evaluate business opportunities and investments.
- Collaborate with other members of the executive management team to drive business performance and operational excellence.
- Develop and utilize financial analysis tools to identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements and overseeing the implementation of these improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop accounting team members to support their professional growth and the success of the organization. Including lead, supervise, and develop accounting staff of approximately 10.
- Assist in management of client, partner and subcontractor relationships.
- Stay informed about environmental and civil engineering industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to enhance company's competitive position.
- Oversee the outside CPA preparation of federal, state and local tax returns and related documentation.
- Oversee outside CPA compilation/review/audit of company financial statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in the environmental or engineering consulting or related industry.
- Strong understanding of Deltek Ajera.
- Experience in migrating financial management software (Deltek Ajera to Deltek Vision).
- Proven track record of success in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within the environmental or engineering consulting or related industry.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including GAAP compliance, IFRS compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong financial acumen, with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business results.
