We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Manager in the non-profit sector, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The opportunity will be 1 day in office and 4 days remote once onboarding and training are complete.
The individual will be tasked with a variety of financial management duties, including overseeing the fiscal operation of programs, providing financial support and analysis, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and management of annual program budgets
• Conduct monthly analysis of financial statements, preparing and making necessary accounting entries
• Handle the completion of rate setting packets and cost reports as required
• Manage Accounts Receivable effectively
• Assist in annual contract management and ensure fiscal matters are handled appropriately
• Prepare audit reconciliations and schedules as needed
• Analyze and interpret accounting records and reports, providing insights for business improvements
• Utilize skills in Dynamics, Annual Budgeting, Budget Administration, and Concur Expense to manage financial operations
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Proven experience in a financial management role within the non-profit sector for a minimum of 5 years.
• Proficiency in using financial management software, specifically Dynamics.
• Demonstrated experience in annual budget preparation and administration.
• Familiarity with Concur Expense or similar expense management systems.
• Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes (AR).
• Proficient in the preparation and review of journal entries.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and report on financial health and risks.
• Experience with accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPA Preferred
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
