We are inviting applications for the position of Senior IS Business Analyst, located in Richfield, Ohio. The primary function of this role lies in the realm of Oracle Business Suite support, business procedure analysis, and system recommendations. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in the areas of coding, debugging, and documenting programs using SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, and will also be a key liaison between IS and other business departments.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support for assigned Oracle Business Suite modules and cross-train for backup support of all modules
• Study, analyze, and support Oracle business procedures and suggest improvements
• Identify business requirements and devise system and programming alternatives, presenting findings and specifications in various formats
• Prepare system flow charts and logic diagrams to describe existing and proposed operations
• Lead and assist with the coding, debugging, and documenting of programs using SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader
• Troubleshoot system, process, and data issues to resolve business problems
• Understand functional aspects of screens, data, and general operations of the department
• Provide technical support for interfaces to third parties
• Maintain and enhance technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming, and database technology
• Provide guidance to other Business Analysts and lead complex projects
• Support SOX compliance controls and reporting requirements through regular review of security practices, segregation of duties, change management controls, and internal audits of business practices.• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Information Systems setting.
• Proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of both business and IS processes and principles.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and effectively communicate complex data and business processes.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
• Demonstrated project management skills would be advantageous.
• Experience in a senior role, leading and mentoring a team is preferred.
