We are seeking a Plant Controller to join our team based in Middleborough, Massachusetts. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on understanding and analyzing inventory costs associated with our manufacturing processes. You will be generating reports, presenting information to various teams, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving cost reductions.

Responsibilities:
• Generate and present reports to management, finance groups, and operations team members.
• Understand and analyze the inventory costs associated with the manufacturing processes.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive cost reductions.
• Actively partner with Operations Leaders in planning, direction, and policy implementation.
• Ensure the application of quarterly processes such as Full Absorption, EOZ, cycle counting, and standard costing are in accordance with sound accounting theory and in line with corporate policy.
• Provide oversight to cost accounting process and annual standard setting process.
• Analyze and interpret plant performance, evaluate variances, and understand root causes for financial interpretation.
• Work with site leadership to prepare Annual Operating Plan, forecasts, and requested scenarios throughout the year.
• Direct, lead, and collaborate with other key leadership to conduct the Annual Physical Inventory.
• Prepare Labor and Overhead studies and understand key drivers for rate changes.
• Serve as a partner for cost reduction initiatives and work cross functionally with engineers, procurement, and other plant personnel.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or MBA required. 

Minimum of 8 years of finance/accounting experience that includes cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and cost accounting concepts.

Experience with Standard Cost methodology.

Experience with ERP systems is required, JD Edwards preferred.

Expert skills in Excel and SAP Web Intelligence; high proficiency in OneStream and other Microsoft Office Applications, Power BI preferred.
