We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing/Claims/Collections professional in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves working within the healthcare and social assistance industry, specifically in hospitals, to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer applications and credit records. It is an office-based role that requires the use of essential skills such as accounting software systems and customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing electronic billing to various government agencies with accuracy and efficiency
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, funders, and vendors
• Troubleshooting billing errors for input accuracy to maximize reimbursement for services rendered
• Communicating with clients and customers to arrange payment plans and request payments
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling accounts
• Creating adhoc financial reports as necessary
• Processing payments from customers in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to agency procedures
• Updating client accounts based on payment or contact information
• Maintaining accounting databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues.• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing/Claims/Collections in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and EHR SYSTEM is required.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, and Authorizations is essential.
• Experience in Billing Functions, Medical Billing, and Medical Claims is mandatory.
• Knowledge of EOB - Explanation of Benefits is required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team is necessary.
• Should possess excellent customer service skills.
