Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in Lancaster, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OR nurse who enjoys the flexibility of travel and the challenge of working in diverse surgical settings. As a Travel OR RN, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing surgical equipment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition during surgery.
• Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Provide post-operative care, including monitoring patients in the recovery room and managing their pain and fort levels.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, patient care, and any incidents that occur during surgery.
• Adapt to different surgical environments and protocols at various healthcare facilities.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN, with travel experience preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent munication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in various surgical settings.
