Position: Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Birmingham, AL
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,974.00
Base Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Overtime Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
Per Diem Lodging (Non-Taxable): $861.00
Per Diem Meals (Non-Taxable): $465.00
Hours: 36 hours per week
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stepdown RN to join our healthcare team in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in level 1-2 trauma care and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, providing critical care to those transitioning from the ICU to general care units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-hospital care and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Alabama or compact RN license 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a stepdown unit or similar critical care setting.
• Experience with level 1-2 trauma care.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
