ICU RN - Special Care Unit, Hamilton, NY (8-Week Contract)

We are seeking an experienced ICU RN for an 8-week contract in the Special Care Unit (SCU) at a healthcare facility in Hamilton, NY. This night shift position (7 PM - 7 AM) offers a bi-weekly schedule of 72 hours. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of SCU or CCU experience, with certifications in BLS and ACLS required. PALS is preferred, and a Coronary Care Certificate is optional.

Position Details:

• Location: Hamilton, NY
• Unit: Special Care Unit (SCU)
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (72 hours bi-weekly)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in SCU/CCU
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred, Coronary Care Certificate optional
• Patient Load: Up to 4 patients
• Responsibilities: Care for patients with medicated IV drips, BiPAP/CPAP/airvo, rare ventilator cases
• mon Diagnoses: RAF, r/o MI, DKA, non-STEMI, PE, COVID pneumonia, CHF, post-op general surgery, CVA without intervention, rare chest tube cases, CVP monitoring, wound vacs
• On-Call: No on-call duties
• EMR System: Sorian
