Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Manassas, VA

Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with schools in Manassas, VA, is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. SLPA's play a crucial role in supporting speech-language therapy services for students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students overcome communication challenges and will be dedicated to promoting their success in the school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing speech-language therapy plans as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Provide individual and small group therapy sessions to students.
• Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Valid Virginia license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide professional references.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dedication to supporting the communication needs of students.
