Position Overview: We are excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Maple Heights, Ohio. The School Psychologist will be responsible for delivering a range of psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. This includes conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with educators, parents, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychological and educational assessments to identify and address student needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Work with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive and positive learning environment.
- Develop and implement school-wide programs to enhance student mental health and academic performance.
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all psychological services provided.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development of effective educational strategies and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred.
- Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, educators, and community organizations.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in school psychology.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a variety of disabilities is advantageous.
