Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities via virtual platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
- Deliver engaging and effective virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' progress and achievement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, session notes, and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, particularly as they relate to virtual service delivery.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alaska.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Prior experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy capacity.
- Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and technology, including video conferencing software and digital assessment tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues in a virtual environment.
- Commitment to cultural competence and serving diverse student populations.
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace conducive to virtual therapy sessions.
