Position: School Counselor

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview: Lindale Independent School District is seeking a dynamic and empathetic School Counselor to join our team. The School Counselor will play a key role in providing counseling services to students, supporting their academic, career, and personal/social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, career, and personal/social needs of students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Administer and interpret assessments to identify student strengths and challenges.
• Develop and implement interventions for students experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties.
• Assist students in setting academic and career goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support students with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• Texas state licensure as a School Counselor.
• Certification from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a School Counselor.
• Knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

• Texas State Licensure: Must hold and maintain a valid license as a School Counselor in Texas.
• Texas Education Agency Certification: Certification as a School Counselor from the Texas Education Agency.
