Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Caseload: Autistic Support and Emotional Support Classrooms (Primarily Elementary, Open to K-12)

Job Description: Join our team as a Special Education Teacher near Whitehall, PA, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time role involves providing support in autistic support and emotional support classrooms, primarily with elementary students, but with flexibility to work with students across K-12 as needed. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to the needs of students in autistic support and emotional support programs.
• Provide individualized and group instruction to students, focusing on their academic and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction.
• Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with parents to support student development.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.

Requirements:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working in autistic support and emotional support settings preferred
• Strong understanding of special education best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
