School Counselor

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and empathetic School Counselor to join our team in Seville, GA. The School Counselor will provide essential support to students, helping them navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges. This role involves working with students, families, and school staff to promote a positive and productive school environment and support students' overall well-being.

Educational Requirements:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field
• Valid Georgia Professional School Counselor Certification

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address students' academic, social, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement prehensive counseling programs to support student development and achievement
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and address student needs
• Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and career exploration
• Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and create appropriate intervention strategies
• Facilitate conflict resolution and crisis intervention as needed
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
• Organize and conduct workshops for students, staff, and parents on topics related to mental health, study skills, and personal development

Certifications:

• Georgia Professional School Counselor Certification
• Additional certifications in mental health counseling or related areas are a plus
