A local school in East Milton, FLis seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming academic year. The chosen candidate may need to supervise an SLPA. The role involves evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders, and developing appropriate treatment plans. Additionally, the therapist will work closely with families and caregivers to manage communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and diagnose communication disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for students.
- Provide supervision and guidance to SLPA as needed.
- Educate students, families, and caregivers on speech disorders and treatment strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, treatments, and progress.
Experience:
- Previous experience as an SLP or SLPA is required.
- Experience providing supervision to SLPA is preferred.
Education:
- Must have a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology (for SLP).
- SLPA candidates must meet state requirements for licensure.
- Full accreditation (CCC) preferred for SLP.
