Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Role Overview: Piqua School District is on the lookout for a passionate and knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLP will play a crucial role in identifying, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and munication disorders among students. This position is integral to helping students reach their full academic and social potential.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment outes.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance students' munication skills.
• Maintain thorough and precise records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress.
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of student goals and objectives.
• Offer training and support to school staff on speech and language enhancement techniques.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid Ohio state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License for Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Preferably, experience working in a school environment.
• Excellent munication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Requirements:

• pletion of a background check and fingerprinting.
• Adherence to state and federal regulations pertaining to special education.
