Position Details:

• Role: Paraprofessional
• Location: Castro Valley, CA
• Experience Required: Behavioral experience
• Specialization: Middle School Special Education Classroom with Mod-Severe students

Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in implementing behavioral interventions and strategies to support Mod-Severe students in a middle school setting
• Provide support and supervision to students during classroom activities, transitions, and meals
• Help students with daily tasks, including personal care and academic assignments
• Collaborate with the teacher and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with students with behavioral needs in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
• Willingness to follow the direction of the teacher and participate in ongoing professional development
