Job Description: We are seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals to provide crucial support to students in a school-based environment. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with educators and other professionals to create a nurturing learning environment and assist students, particularly those with special needs, in reaching their educational goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
2. Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and projects under the guidance of the supervising teacher.
3. Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as directed by the teacher or special education team.
5. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to promote student success and well-being.
6. Assist with student transitions between classrooms, activities, and routines.
7. Provide personal care assistance to students as needed, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
8. Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other instructional plans.
9. Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and other relevant data as required by school policies.
10. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with diverse needs.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or training in education or special education preferred.
2. Prior experience working with students, particularly those with special needs, in an educational or similar setting.
3. Familiarity with behavior management techniques, instructional strategies, and assistive technology used in special education.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
5. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
6. Ability to adapt to changing situations and student needs in a dynamic school environment.
7. Must meet all requirements set by local and state regulations for paraprofessionals in educational settings.
