Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Estancia, New Mexico
Position Overview:Estancia School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students succeed and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the educational setting.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student assessments, progress, and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and other team meetings as needed.
- Stay current with best practices and trends in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid New Mexico state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification from the New Mexico Public Education Department as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Required Licensure and Certifications:- State Licensure: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
- Professional Certification: Must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Educator Certification: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
