Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Andover, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals of all ages with a variety of physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges. You will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions that promote independence and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities. Identify impairments and functional limitations impacting daily activities.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, client goals, and best practices. Set measurable objectives and tailor interventions to meet each clients unique needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to clients, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and activities designed to improve motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive function.
- Client and Family Education: Educate clients and their families on adaptive techniques, use of assistive devices, and strategies to enhance daily living skills. Offer guidance on managing and improving functional abilities at home.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and educators, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions. Ensure pliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Massachusetts state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Certification: Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical, school, or rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention. Excellent munication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology.
