Overview: Mount Jackson Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting the academic achievement and mental health of our students.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
• Interpret assessment results and make remendations for interventions and acmodations.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
• Provide consultation to teachers and staff on behavioral and academic interventions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and services provided.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Virginia state licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Certification from the Virginia Department of Education for School Psychologists.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to special education.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

• Virginia State License: Must hold and maintain a valid license to practice as a School Psychologist in Virginia.
• Virginia Department of Education Certification: Certification for School Psychologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
