Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Location: Ridgeway, SC

Position: Special Education Teacher

Dates: Immediate Start - May 23rd, 2025

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Caseload Details:
Blazer Jobsseeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a self-contained classroom with approximately 11 PreK students diagnosed with autism. This role requires a compassionate and experienced educator who is committed to providing individualized support and fostering a positive learning environment for young children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
• Collaborate with other special education staff, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina SPED Multi-categorical license.
• Previous experience in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
