Duration: Full Time for 2024/2025 school year
Position: Special Education Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Tailor instruction to effectively accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Employ a variety of teaching methods and advanced technologies to actively engage students.
- Monitor student progress closely and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
- Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and specialists.
- Maintain consistent and open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid CaliforniaSpecial Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Demonstrated experience working with students who have diverse learning needs.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs to meet individual student needs.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to establish positive relationships.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual or familiarity with ESOLteaching strategies
- Familiarity with effective evidence-based behavior management techniques and positive behavior supports.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
