Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the assessment, treatment, and intervention of munication disorders in students. We are looking for a passionate professional who is eager to make a positive impact in the lives of students and families in Antelope.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed SLPs in conducting screenings and assessments to evaluate students' munication abilities.
- Collaborate with SLPs to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address speech, language, and munication disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of licensed SLPs, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' munication skills in the classroom and educational settings.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data to monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in munication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- pletion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program approved by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
- Valid California state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
