Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Position Description:Covington Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will be integral in providing high-quality speech and language services to students, helping them overe munication challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals. We are looking for a professional who is dedicated to student success and skilled in developing individualized therapy plans.
Core Responsibilities:- Perform prehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, munication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Create and implement tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student.
- Deliver therapeutic services to students in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure therapy goals are integrated into classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student assessments, progress, and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, providing valuable input for the development of student goals and objectives.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students in need of speech-language intervention.
- Stay current with the latest developments, research, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Provide training and resources to school staff and parents to support students munication development.
Qualifications:- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid Georgia state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification from the Georgia Professional Standards mission (PSC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Preferably, experience in a school setting.
- Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Required Licensure and Certifications:- State Licensure: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Professional Certification: Must possess the Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Educator Certification: Must hold a valid Speech and Language Pathology Service (S-5) Certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards mission (PSC).
