Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: California (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Next School Year Contract
Pay: $50/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet clients' specific needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions using virtual platforms, ensuring effective communication and engagement with clients.
- Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
- Monitor clients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all clinical activities accurately and timely.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in virtual team meetings, clinical supervision sessions, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by regulatory bodies and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience working as an SLP, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy setting.
- Proficiency in utilizing telepractice platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport, communicate effectively, and collaborate with clients and team members virtually.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage caseload efficiently.
- Commitment to providing culturally competent and inclusive care to clients from diverse backgrounds and communities.
