Requirements:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist in California, in accordance with local and state regulations.
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience working as a School Psychologist, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Providing counseling and intervention services to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Conducting crisis intervention and providing support to students in crisis situations.
- Serving as a resource to school staff on issues related to mental health, learning disabilities, and behavior management.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to review assessment findings, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress.
- Providing consultation and training to school staff on topics such as behavior management, social skills development, and positive behavior support.
