Bilingual Therapieshas partnered with a school district in the Lafayette, TNarea that is looking for a School Psychologist Details below:
Overview:
- Hours per week: 7:45-3:15
- Days per week: 5 (Mon-Fri)
- Start Date: August. 6, 2024
- End Date: May 24, 2025
- Caseload size: 294
- Caseload age: K-12
- # of school sites: 4
- Requirements/licensure: School Psychologist (Active) Tn License Ed.S
- Job duties consist of: evaluating students, report writing, attending IEP meetings, contacting parents, etc. Office will be shared with three others in the assessment department.
The position expects School Psychologists to:
- facilitate the learning and understanding of mental health and trauma in children and families
- carry out Functional Behavioral Analyses (FBAs)
- create Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- complete the IDEA due process for eligibility determinations accurately (such as Specific Learning Disability)
- serve as LEA representative for some Individualized Education Program (IEP) and/or Section 504 Plan meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in School Psychology (and eligible for internship) or Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology
- Knowledge of assessment procedures and instruments applicable for students aged 3-21
- Experienced with special education and multi-cultural topics, procedures, and laws
- Familiar with current research based universal screening and progress monitoring tools
