We have a current opportunity for a SCADA Engineer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Baltimore, Maryland.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an Subject Matter Expert for all SCADA and Automated Control Systems implementation, installation, commissioning and maintenance
- Prepare settings in the relay manufacturer's software
- Lead SCADA and substation automation system integration process including HMI and RTU programming
- Develop alarm and SCADA communication point lists and prepare test plans
- Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes methods, and practices unique to areas of expertise
- Perform modeling using system analysis software such as ASPEN and develop studies to establish zones of protection
- Calculate device settings for microprocessor and electro-mechanical relays
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer
- 6+ years of professional engineering experience
- Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory
- Posses a working knowledge of analysis software packages such as PSS/E, Python, PSCAD, MATLAB, etc...
