The Part Time Temporary Qualitative Research Scientist will join us, for up to 20 hours per week for approximately 4 months, to help with a qualitative research project. You will work closely with the Quality Improvement Real World Data team sponsors and implement an industry funded qualitative study.

Responsible for preparation of study documents (e.g., focus group guide), study execution (qualitative data collection), reports and presentations (e.g., final report, presentation to study sponsor) to summarize research findings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with the team to create a focus group guide based off project aims
• Schedule and facilitate 15-25 focus groups with multidisciplinary endocrinology teams for a research study
• Transcribe, code, and theme results from focus groups
• Write report summarizing focus group findings
• Draft, edit, and present study reports for project milestones

Basic Qualifications:

• A master’s degree or higher in healthcare and outcomes research fields, such as public health, health economics, epidemiology, psychology, sociology, or other social sciences.
• 2 years of work experience in a similar role; less experience will be considered in conjunction with a higher degree.
• Experience with qualitative research designs, including conducting interviews and focus groups and analyzing qualitative data, preferably in a health care setting.
• Proficient in at least one qualitative research software (NVivo, M, etc.)
• Proficient in summarizing results and conclusions for scientific presentations/manuscripts with the ability to translate and present complex analyses into key points for presentation for a variety of audiences.
• Competent handling of confidential information and familiarity with privacy/HIPAA requirements.
• Excellent problem solving, and communications skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, researchers, physicians, and other professionals.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate results; works with passion, integrity, and energy.
• Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, working in a cross-functional environment serving diverse populations.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

One or more of the following qualifications considered a plus:

• Knowledge and research in diabetes preferred.

• Publications in patient-centered research.

• Experience working with clients (e.g., pharmaceutical companies, other researchers, etc.).

The hourly rate for this part time temporary position is $60 - $70/hour. This position is not benefits eligible. This position can be remote anywhere in the United States only. No agencies at this time.
