Job Description: Scrum Master
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Agile project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical and business acumen, coupled with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and optimize team performance. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, with a focus on driving continuous improvement within development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more teams, guiding them to follow Agile and Scrum practices that promote prioritization, team readiness, and sprint commitments.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to accelerate the acceptance of agile practices and enhance delivery efficiency.
Drive engineering practices such as TDD (Test-Driven Development), BDD (Behavior-Driven Development), Pair Programming, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment), and automation deployment.
Maintain a rigorous focus on unit testing and functional automation, ensuring they are part of the Definition of Done (DoD).
Optimize team velocity, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities to increase team performance.
Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and provide guidance on escalating and resolving such impediments.
Ensure the consistent use and optimization of tools like JIRA and JIRA Portfolio.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience with scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum at Scale, or LeSS is a plus.
Experience with Change Management frameworks (e.g., PROSCI, Kotter) is a plus.
Familiarity with Lean engineering practices.
Prior experience leading Agile or Kanban teams involving .NET applications is highly preferred.
Experience in Conduct Risk or working with compliance-related projects is preferred but not required.
Financial services industry experience is a plus.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.
Demonstrated leadership in managing Agile/Kanban teams, particularly in environments involving .NET applications.
A strong understanding of Agile alignment and the ability to lead teams towards achieving strategic goals.
Experience with Code of Conduct Risk and related applications is a plus.
