Medical Collector

ONSITE Location: Phoenix, AZ 85008

Monday through Friday | 7am – 4pm
 
Compensation will range between $21-$24 per hour, dependent on experience.

5 years or more of RECENT Medical Insurance and Patient Collections experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Working Medical insurance and patient collections from Commercial and Medicaid payers, inbound and outbound calling

• Review aging reports and unpaid claims while monitoring activity, rebill claims as needed

• Discuss outstanding balances, options available, set up payment plans and review negotiations

• Contact insurances to follow up on payments and discuss resolution

• Responding timely to claims denials, exceptions, or exclusions

• Follow up on claims that are outstanding and working both denials and appeals

• Consistently staying up to date with changes in Medicare, Medicaid, and Private insurances

• Additional medical collections duties as needed or assigned

Role Qualifications:

• High school diploma

• REQUIRED – 5 or more years of recent experience in Medical Insurance AND Patient Collections

• Heavy experience in Medicaid/Medicare (any states)

• Knowledge of working medical claims and reimbursements

• Familiar with medical terminology with ability to analyze data efficiently

• Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task

• Ability to work individually and collaboratively

• Highly detailed and sense of urgency

• Strong customer service skills while being highly professional
