- Have or working on an A+ cert. (Especially for entry level candidate)
- Willing to speak to all levels of candidates from entry level to highly tenured
- 3+ year long contract
- Working on custom servers. So much to learn!!
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING:
Title: Data Center Technician
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, potential availability for night shifts please reach out for more details
.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to service tickets for servers in customer datacenters in a timely manner
- Keep parts lockers up to date and properly stocked at all times
- Troubleshoot and triage server failures to determine the most efficient path to getting a server back online for the customer.
- Track server fleet health and validate that we are always exceeding customer requirements for total servers online
- Provide consistent, detailed feedback to the ZT engineering team on failures, serviceability of servers, and integration with the datacenter
- Apply firmware and BIOS updates as needed using our engineering-approved tools
- Comply with all datacenter safety, security, and operational protocols at all times
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Ability to identify hardware failures and work within the limits of a defined process to get hardware running or replace entire servers
- Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 70lbs
- Fanatic attention to detail. Accuracy in inventory, trouble tickets, asset tag updates, wiring plans, etc. is essential to the customer and is critical to this role
- Linux terminal basic experience
- Windows CMD basic experience.
