• Have or working on an A+ cert. (Especially for entry level candidate)
• Willing to speak to all levels of candidates from entry level to highly tenured
• 3+ year long contract
• Working on custom servers. So much to learn!!

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING:

Title: Data Center Technician

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, potential availability for night shifts please reach out for more details

.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to service tickets for servers in customer datacenters in a timely manner
• Keep parts lockers up to date and properly stocked at all times
• Troubleshoot and triage server failures to determine the most efficient path to getting a server back online for the customer.
• Track server fleet health and validate that we are always exceeding customer requirements for total servers online
• Provide consistent, detailed feedback to the ZT engineering team on failures, serviceability of servers, and integration with the datacenter
• Apply firmware and BIOS updates as needed using our engineering-approved tools
• Comply with all datacenter safety, security, and operational protocols at all times

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Ability to identify hardware failures and work within the limits of a defined process to get hardware running or replace entire servers
• Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 70lbs
• Fanatic attention to detail. Accuracy in inventory, trouble tickets, asset tag updates, wiring plans, etc. is essential to the customer and is critical to this role
• Linux terminal basic experience
• Windows CMD basic experience.
