Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Required: Experience with Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Required: Generally Accepting Accounting Principles (GAAP) - knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger.
- Preferred: CPA license.
- Preferred: Experience with a lot of service lines.
- Individuals who have great attention to detail skills, are tech-savvy and can work with a large amount of data.

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant (Level 2) is responsible for coordinating monthly closing activities, preparing and updating accounting processes, and managing various reports and schedules, including Medicare Cost Reports and 990 tax return schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of the organizational structure, accounting standards, and best practices, with oversight of routine work by other accountants to ensure timely completion of monthly closing tasks and government filings. The position involves payroll analysis, cash flow monitoring, liability analysis, and advanced accounting research, including fund accounting and revenue recognition. The Senior Accountant (Level 2) facilitates communication within the company and its affiliates, acts as a liaison with external parties, and may assist with financial accountability and pro forma analyses for grant proposals. Additionally, the Senior Accountant II leads software conversion or implementation projects and ensures accurate preparation of reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
