Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in New Castle, DE. The ideal candidate will provide specialized physical therapy services to students within the school environment, helping them improve their physical function, mobility, and overall participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct prehensive evaluations of students' physical abilities, mobility, and needs to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct physical therapy services to students with a range of physical impairments, including exercises, manual therapy, and adaptive techniques to enhance mobility and strength.
- Collaboration: Partner with teachers, school staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs and support their participation in classroom and school activities.
- Program Development: Create and implement individualized therapy programs that align with students' IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and educational goals.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress, therapy sessions, and evaluations. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation in pliance with school and state requirements.
- Consultation: Advise and train school staff on strategies to support students with physical needs and promote an inclusive and accessible learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Education: Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state licensure in Physical Therapy (DE) required.
- Experience: Experience working as a physical therapist in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
