Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Virginia - Work From Home
Job Type: Fulltime, next school year contract
Pay: $40+/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each student's unique needs and goals.
• Provide virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and strategies to address speech and language disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development in both academic and social settings.
• Monitor and track students' progress through ongoing assessment and data collection.
• Provide guidance and support to educators and parents on strategies to facilitate speech and language development in the virtual learning environment.
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records.
• Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Virginia.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy capacity.
• Strong understanding of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and other professionals.
• Proficiency in utilizing virtual therapy platforms and technology to deliver remote services.
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently in a virtual environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Passion for supporting the communication needs of students and promoting their overall success in the virtual learning environment.
