Job Description
Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills areas based on students' IEP goals.
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of South Carolina.
Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
