• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills areas based on students' IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of South Carolina.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
