We are seeking a Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry, based in San Francisco, California. As a Medical Front Desk Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our healthcare facility, handling a variety of administrative tasks from patient check-in to data entry. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle patient check-in procedures and confirmation calls.
• Accurately process data entry tasks related to patient records and medical information.
• Triage calls, directing them to the appropriate department or personnel.
• Ensure the preparation of patient charts, both electronic and paper-based, for doctors' use.
• Collect payments from both patients and insurance, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Assist in ordering lunches for doctors, ensuring their schedules are uninterrupted.
• Handle tasks related to OneMedical passport, mainly focusing on the collection of payments from insurance.
• Ensure the medical office is well-organized by making necessary copies of documents.
• Utilize EMR - Electronic Medical Records and Echart for efficient patient record management.
• Wear appropriate attire, including scrubs and comfortable closed-toe shoes, to maintain a professional appearance and ensure safety in the workplace.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the healthcare/NHS industry
• Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems (EMR)
• Familiarity with Basic Medical Terminology
• Previous experience in a Medical Office setting
• Ability to handle and manage Medical Records
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Experience with Patient Medical Records
• Prior experience working in a Medical Office is essential
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy in tasks
• Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
