Job Title: PCU RN Travel Nurse

Location: Roanoke, VA

We are seeking an experienced PCU RN for a travel assignment in Roanoke, VA. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute to a dedicated team on a 25-bed medical unit. The unit specializes in caring for acutely and chronically ill adults with a wide range of plex medical diagnoses. You will work alongside Internal Medicine Physicians and Residents to deliver high-quality care to patients.

Shift: 3x12 Hour Shifts (Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Unit Details:

• 25-bed Medical Unit
• Focuses on acutely and chronically ill adults with plex medical diagnoses
• Staffed with Internal Medicine Physicians and Residents

Requirements:

• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required.
• Experience: Proven experience in PCU or a similar setting.
• Ratios: Current nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with a goal of 1:4.
• Floating: All travelers are expected to float as needed based on unit acuity.

As part of a 25-bed medical unit, you will work closely with a team of physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals. The current nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, though the goal is to achieve a 1:4 ratio. Flexibility is key, as all travelers are expected to float to different units within the hospital as needed.
