Location: 155 E Brush Hill Rd, Elmhurst, IL, 60126 (258 beds, Level I Trauma)

Unit: Medical (Diabetes, Renal disease, Wounds, pulmonary disease, GI disorders, COVID, Substance abuse, Urinary disease)

Pay: Starting at $34.68/hour and increases with experience

Shifts: 7p-7:30a, 36 hours/week

7a-7:30p, 36 hours/week

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the health care team in planning for patient care across the continuum.
• Utilize critical thinking through prioritizing and managing complex patient care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Communicate with the healthcare team members, patient, and care partner based on their level of comprehension and understanding.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care by identifying physical, psychosocial and developmental needs and adapting interventions accordingly.
• Provide patient education and instructions at a level of understanding appropriate to the comprehension level of the patient and/or their care partner.
• Administer medications and carry out orders given by physician.
• Utilize the EMR to appropriately document patient care provided, and patient assessments completed.

Must Haves:

• RN license in the state of Illinois
• BLS certification
• ASN
• 1-year of acute med/surg experience
