This is a front-end Pharmacy Technician role. You will handle prescriptions from the beginning until they move to the fulfillment department. You will work in all queues and receive cross-training. Responsibilities include intake start of prescription, inputting data, handling phone calls, refilling prescriptions, manual resolutions, clarifying prescriptions, and handling transfers from other retail stores. You may handle 80-100 calls per shift if assigned to phone duties. You will touch all parts of the front-end pharmacy.
Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions by inputting patient information into pharmacy systems; obtaining refill clarification and authorization; identifying and selecting pharmaceutical products and quantities for prescription orders.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
