Special Education Teacher
Location: Brush, CO
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide specialized instruction in academic and functional skills to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Utilize assessment data and educational technology to inform instructional decisions and support student learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes students' social and emotional growth.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and participation in accordance with district policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities to support continuous improvement and student success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid Colorado Special Education teaching credential or ability to obtain one.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a special education setting.
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
