Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced School Psychologists for a full-time role within school districts in the Marion, NC area. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about promoting the mental health and academic success of students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies to support students' learning and emotional well-being.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive educational environment for all students.
- Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support during emergencies or critical situations.
- Consult with educators on effective classroom management techniques, instructional strategies, and accommodations for students with diverse needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress, making data-driven adjustments to interventions as necessary.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in school psychology and apply this knowledge to improve student outcomes.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and school psychology.
