Part-Time Contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Monroe, NC

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for a part-time contract position as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Monroe, NC. We are seeking an experienced professional who meets all requirements set by local and state regulations, including holding a master's degree in SLP or Communication Disorders and ASHA CCC's certification. Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.

Job Duties:

1. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.

2. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language challenges. Utilize evidence-based interventions to improve communication skills and facilitate academic success.

3. Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional development. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input for goal setting and accommodations.

4. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress in therapy sessions. Adjust treatment plans and goals as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

5. Parent and Caregiver Education: Provide education and resources to parents and caregivers on strategies to support speech and language development at home. Foster collaboration between school and home environments.
